Is Sprouts really a farmers market? Do you carry more than produce?

Sprouts Farmers Market is a healthy, indoor grocery store that is inspired by farmers markets and we trace our lineage back to a single fruit stand in San Diego. Our welcoming stores feature an abundance of farm-fresh produce, all-natural meat and seafood, thousands of pantry staples, baked goods and deli meats and cheeses.

Can I bring in my personal container?

We welcome guests to bring reusable containers to use when purchasing bulk or produce products in our store. Before filling your container, please visit a cashier who can assist you in getting the tare weight of the container prior to filling it. At most locations, reusable cloth bulk bags and glass containers are available for sale in the Bulk department, and mesh produce bags in the Produce department.

What is your policy for rainchecks?

What is your coupon policy?

What is your return/refund policy?

Do you offer case discounts?

We offer an automatic 10% discount on select products when customers purchase an entire case. However, this discount cannot be used in conjunction with the Team Member Discount and does not apply to:

  • Items in the Weekly Ad
  • Bountiful Bargains, Healthy Savings or Manager’s Specials
  • Nutrition Bars (Sprouts Nutrition Bars)

What is your product sampling policy?

Before sampling a product, let one of our helpful team members know which item you are wanting to try, and they will be happy to assist you.

How can I learn more about a product in-store?

Our friendly team members are more than happy to answer any product questions you have. You can also find a barcode scanner in the search function on the Sprouts app. Once you scan an item’s barcode, product information will appear on your screen, including a list of ingredients, nutrition information, and any digital coupons or Checkout Challenges™ currently available.

How do I recommend a product?

We welcome product recommendations and evaluate these based on overall demand. The best way to submit a request is through our contact us form.

How can I special order a product?

We are delighted to fulfill your special-order request whenever we can. Just ask the appropriate department manager in your local store if a product is available for special order.

How do I find out if Sprouts carries a specific product?

Is everything you carry natural or organic?

About 90 percent of the products we carry are natural or organic. We offer a wide variety of healthy options at different price points to appeal to a broad base of customers. is a great place to explore the products we offer and learn more about product attributes. Can I get a refund or replacement for an item that has been recalled?

Return the item to your local Sprouts and a team member will be happy to assist you with a refund or replacement. If you no longer have the product, please bring your receipt to the store for further assistance.


Can gift cards be redeemed for cash?

Sprouts gift cards may not be redeemed for cash, unless required by law.

When will I receive my bulk gift cards?

Gift card are processed within 24-48 business hours and delivery times vary based on the shipping method chosen.

Do you offer discounts for bulk orders?

Yes, we do offer discounts for bulk gift cards purchased by registered businesses, agencies and nonprofit organizations.

  • $10,000 – $49,999, 2%
  • $50,000-$99,999, 3%
  • $100,000+, 4%

What is the minimum purchase for bulk orders?

Sprouts bulk gift cards can be loaded for any amount between $5.00 and $200.00. Bulk orders must total $10,000 or more and can be ordered here. Orders less than $10,000.00 do not qualify for bulk orders and must be placed here.

What payment methods can I use?

Sprouts requires your first order to be paid by check, ACH or wire.

Thereafter, Sprouts accepts payments via credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express), check, ACH and wire for bulk gift card purchases. Payment must be received before a gift card order is shipped. Orders paid for by a check, ACH or wire payment will remain pending until payment has been received and deposited. Purchasers will receive an email stating that the payment has been approved and again when the shipment is sent. Who can purchase Sprouts gift cards in bulk?

Our bulk gift card program is available to registered businesses, agencies and nonprofit organizations.


Can gift cards be purchased internationally?

Gift cards must be purchased with a credit/debit card with a U.S. billing address and must be mailed to a U.S. mailing address.

Can I reload the value on my existing gift card?

Gift cards may be reloaded in-store; however, this service is not available online.

Can I pick up my gift cards at a store?

Gift cards may be purchased at any Sprouts location apart from the stores in Chula Vista, Calif. Online gift cards are not to be sent to any Sprouts location as we do not offer in-store pickup at this time.

How many gift cards may I purchase at once?

You may purchase 10 gift cards in a single transaction. Multiple transactions must be completed to purchase more than 10 gift cards.

Can I get a discount if I purchase in bulk?

We do not offer a discounts to individuals for bulk gift card orders at this time. To learn more about discounts offered on gift cards for registered businesses, agencies and nonprofits, visit Sprouts Bulk Gift Cards.

Can I change the value of my gift card purchase or cancel the transaction?

All gift card transactions are final. If you want to increase the gift card value, a new transaction will be required.


Is there a minimum amount and/or maximum amount I can put on a gift card?

Sprouts gift cards can be loaded for any amount between $5 and $100. You can purchase up to $2,000 worth of gift cards in a single transaction.

How do I check my gift card balance?

Do Sprouts gift cards expire or have any fees?

Sprouts gift cards never expire. After 12 months of inactivity, as of the date of purchase, a service fee may be charged against any remaining balance, except where prohibited by law.


Where can I use my gift card?

Gift cards may be redeemed at any Sprouts location with the exception of the two licensee stores in Chula Vista, California.

Can I use my gift card for online purchases or through Instacart?

Gift cards may be redeemed in-store only.


How can I check my gift card’s value?

What if I need a rush order? Is overnight delivery available?

Sprouts offers overnight delivery of gift cards through FedEx for additional fee of $25. Gift card delivery time varies based on the shipping method chosen.

What should I do if my gift card is lost or stolen?

Sprouts does not replace any lost or stolen gift cards unless your online order was not received. If your order was lost or stolen during shipment, please contact us at Sprouts only honors gift cards sold in our stores or on Gift cards obtained through third-party entities cannot be guaranteed by Sprouts. Gift cards obtained through fraudulent means will not be honored or reimbursed. To report any fraudulent activity or to get transaction history, please contact us.

Where is my gift card order?

Online gift card orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Our standard shipping method is regular U.S. stamped mail and cannot be tracked. Please allow 7-10 business days for gift card arrival. If you haven’t received your gift card within the allotted timeframe, please call Gift Card Services at 866-204-5830.

How do I remove an item from my Shopping List?

To remove a single item from your Shopping List: on the Sprouts app, tap the icon with three dots in the top right corner of your screen and choose “Edit List.” Tap the “X” next to the items you want to remove and select “Remove.” If you’re using on a mobile or desktop browser, navigate to your Shopping List, click the “X” next to the items you want to remove, and select “Remove.”

To empty your entire Shopping List: on the Sprouts app, tap the icon with three dots in the top right corner of your screen and choose “Empty List.” If you’re using on a mobile or desktop browser, navigate to your Shopping List and select “Empty List” in the top left of your screen.

Can I print my Shopping List?

Yes. On, click the green button in the top right of your browser that displays the shopping list value. This button will take you to your Shopping List. If you have multiple shopping lists, click on your profile icon in the top right of your screen. In the drop-down menu, click on “Shopping Lists” and then select the list you would like to print. From this page, click “Print” in the top left of your screen.

How can I share my Shopping List with others?

On the Sprouts app, navigate to your Shopping List and tap the icon with three dots in the top right corner. Select “Share List.”

How can I create and add items to a Shopping List?

Search for a product of interest or browse products by department on or the Sprouts app. Select “Add to List.” You can also view the items you’ve chosen and an estimated total by selecting the Shopping List icon.


Can I scan a product barcode on the app?

Definitely! You can find the barcode scanner icon in the right-hand corner of the search bar when you tap on it. Once the product’s barcode is scanned successfully, detailed information will appear on your screen, including a list of ingredients, nutrition information, and any digital coupons or Checkout Challenges currently available.

Which devices are compatible with the Sprouts app?

The Sprouts app is compatible with devices that meet the following criteria:

  • Apple iPhone 5s or above running iOS 10.0 or higher
  • Android devices running Android 5.0 or higher

The Sprouts app will update itself on most devices. Users can manually update the app by visiting the Apple and Android app stores. Once in the app store, search for “Sprouts Farmers Market” in the update section and select “Update.” The app will include all the latest features when it is relaunched.

If your phone model and operating system do not meet these criteria, you can still enjoy all our enhanced features on in your mobile web browser.
